Lorenz

Wherever I am, whatever I’m doing, I always search for a story, a connection. As a child I moved around a lot, from Detroit to Düsseldorf, Antwerp, & now to Philly & New York. Everywhere I go, I embrace my childlike curiosity, explore and find as many perspectives as possible.

When I’m not acting, I spend my time with study & music. I am quite captivated by the works of Joseph Campbell, Carl Jung, and Alejandro Jodorowsky, and use them as a rich resource for my artistic work as both an actor and teaching Poleng Mask. Right now my music favorites are Kendrick Lamar, Vulfpeck, noname, Paramore, Meet Me @ The Altar, the olllam, Jacob Collier and MICHELLE. Aside from music, you can find me hanging out with my cat Sarah, and obsessing over Formula One. (Rooting for Lewis Hamilton, as always!)

Stuff I’ve been watching & listening to!

  • Moon Knight

    What a breath of fresh air for Marvel! In similar form to Loki, it’s a gripping plot, great characters, and really creative story decisions that come down to a fantastic, fun ride that’s awesome for nerds and casual fans alike.

  • Amabutho- The Joy

    This EP from South African group the Joy lives up to the bands name. It’s pure bliss, just makes you really grateful for being alive. It makes me so happy I set their album on shuffle as my morning alarm sound. Great start to my early mornings, and such a good listen.

  • Attack on Titan

    I’ll be the millionth person to recommend this show, but my god it’s a ride. It’s the show that got me into anime, and it’s one of my favorites with how dense the themes are. Some of my favorite writing in TV.

  • After Dinner We Talk Dreams - MICHELLE

    I got exposed to MICHELLE during my time at the New School, and I’ve been a fan since. This most recent album has shown such a growth and explosion of color from this group of six, and I’m so so so in love with it.

  • DAVE

    DAVE is wild. Really unexpected in a lot of ways, and pushes the definition of what a show can be. It’s one of my favorites in recent years.

  • The Eric Andre Show

    I am in a perpetual state of rewatching Eric Andre. If you want your ideas about talk shows and skits to be disrespected, violated, and laughed at, this show is for you. A modern theater of the grotesque, and it’s absolutely hilarious.

  • Kaguya-Sama: Love is War

    What started as a guilty pleasure became a plain and simple heartfelt romp. This anime follows two prideful students who refuse to confess their love to one another, so their mission is to force the other to profess their love… Love is War!
